World book day is a really important day as it encourages school children to read for fun, it also helps children read for fun that are from financially disadvanted backgrounds. Smithbrook Tuition firmly believes that reading is the basis of so many important skills in education and in life. We also believe that it does not matter how books are consumed. It is the child engaing with that fiction or non-fiction that counts, whether that be through a physical book, on an e-reader, another person reading aloud, or as an audiobook.
World Book day is on Thursday 3rd March 2022 and here are Smithbrook Tuitons top blogs about reading:

‘World Book Day changes lives through a love of books and shared reading. Our mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own‘ (www.worldbookday.com). The World Book Day charity believes reading for fun can be the biggest indicator of a child’s sucessful and happy future, even more so than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income. They aim want to get more children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to develop life-long habit of reading for fun and therefore improve the life chances this brings them.
